All patients have an intellectual disability. Their level of functioning differs from mild, moderate, severe, and profound. Some have chronic medical conditions such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, asthma, epilepsy.

All patients are admitted as a transfer from other wards. If the patient is admitted from home, he follows the normal process of admission by being admitted first at ward 05 for medical screening first.
Could you please explain the steps followed to access the services?
Firstly the family fill application forms for admission obtainable at OPD. Assessment would be done by all multidisciplinary team members to ascertain if the patient meets criteria for admission. If the patient meets criteria for admission and there is available bed in ward 08, then the family would bring the patient to ward 05 for medical screening.
